Buy tickets Formed in autumn 1982, Blank Expression consists of (at the core) eight members that met through a shared passion for two-tone ska and reggae music. Performing around Ontario, the band was active for some five years during which time they were able to attract a loyal fan base that could always be counted on to dance up a sweat at their shows. The band plays energetic versions of songs by artists including The Clash, The Specials, The English Beat, The Selecter, Bad Manners and many others, and also includes a few original numbers in their sets. The members have since gone on to perform in a myriad of other groups including Tristan Psionic, Loomer, The Cockleshell Heroes, Heimlich Maneuver, Microbunny, and many more. In the spring of 2019 the band made the decision to reform and perform at select events each year, focussing on playing at venues and in cities that are near and dear to them. •The Dead Souls are a Guelph-based trio that perform and celebrate the intense music of Manchester, UK post-punk legends, Joy Division. Over 40 years after the tragic suicide of Ian Curtis, the timeless sound of Joy Division still resonates across the ages and the Dead Souls work hard to bring this brilliant music to life on the stage, as it was intended.
