About this event

The announcements, once infrequent, are a monthly occurrence now. It is a sad or pleasing reality depending on your perspective, that after more than a century, the fields of France and Belgium are surrendering an increasing number of Canadian soldiers of the Great War. It was inevitable with the expansion of housing and industry into the old battlefields combined with large infrastructure projects that cut through the heart of battlefields where intense fighting once took place.
