About this event

Blame it on the weather. This is to be a fair-weather tree-ID walk only and it is likely to rain all day on the originally scheduled November 7, so it has been rescheduled to November 14. Join Nina Shoroplova for a morning of identifying trees at Shaughnessy Park (the park was once known as The Crescent), Shaughnessy, Vancouver. Two trees in particular are quite stunning in October because of the loveliness of the colour of their leaves. Cross your fingers that the leaves have not all fallen by the date of our walk. All tree lovers are welcome, including beginners. The route we will take is flat, making the walk easy. The walk will be limited to twenty or so participants. Plenty of free parking around the park. Buses run regularly on Granville Street, not far away. Please preregister by email to Nina Shoroplova. We will send detailed information about our starting location and the trees we expect to see just before the event. Please arrive fifteen minutes early to sign Nature Vancouver’s waiver forms.
